Gail Walsh

Gail Walsh

Gail grew up in Vancouver and Burnaby. She work in several different fields. Window dresser, craft store owner, clothing store manager and teacher assistant.

After 20 years Gail retired from the Langley School District and moved to Peachland in 2015 with her husband, Nick.

Gail had always painted as a hobby but having 5 children halted her artistic side for several years.  She got back into painting in 2008 when she took several workshops and private lessons with award winning pastel artist, Diana Pointing.  For the next several years her art was put to the side once again due to her passion for training and  performing with her dogs.

When Gail moved to Peachland she started painting in Roberta Farrlley’s art class.  Roberta lit the artistic spark in her and Gail has been painting steady now for the past two years.  Gail paints animals, children, human portraits and rural scenery with pastels, and acrylic.

Gail painted this one from a picture that her friend’s husband took.  The horse’s name is “Jewel”.

Abstract 3 is one of Gail’s recent works in the Abstract market.  The art is an entirely different process from Gail’s predominant portrait history.
